Hi all,

I have recently acquired a Kodak S.I. Mark II Ground camera in reasonable and working condition, but I'm really struggling to find any information about these cameras.

What I have found (and please correct me if I'm wrong), is that the S.I. came in between the Kodak 2-D (1921) and the Specialist II (1950) and was produced maybe 1930s/1940s as it was used during WW2 by both the UK and US and maybe others.

In fact mine is an ex-RAF (Royal Air Force) camera and has Air Ministry (A.M.) markings on it an the two lenses (10" and 5 1/2") that came with it. It also has a front standard mounted shutter with T, B and I. The I setting is one speed which I guess will be around 1/50 but I will measure that.

What I would like to know is when were the S.I. cameras produced from and until. The other markings it has is: Kodak Ltd. London. W.C.2 REF. No. 14A/2260

It's a 5x7 camera and so will shoot 5x7, half-plate and 13x18 with the correct holders. I have some half-plate and 5x7 holders already.

Many thanks in advance!
