Seems like they’ve noticed the various other devices on the market. Doesn’t hold Expert drums.

Maybe they figured it wasn’t in their best interest at least for now. I think they’d have to come up with a cap for the Expert drums, but that should be trivial.

Also at least in theory/by design the Expert drums are really supposed to be filled while rotating for best results. Although plenty of people out there do manual fill/dumps using Expert drums on other rotators, I have no idea if their results are compromised in some way. Actually I still don’t know if the Expert drums really give the best results anyway.

I doubt most of their target audience is planning to use Expert Drums on them - and they would need to completely retool the mould used for the base of the 3000 series drums. If you look at the Silverbase, it has been quite cleverly designed to require a minimum of new injection mould tooling, other than that which can be produced by standard low-volume fabrication methods.
