If Ansel Adams were alive today, and in his prime, would he embrace and use digital cameras, Photoshop, and inkjet printing, or would he use traditional tools and processes?

Ansel Adams would have welcomed the latest advancements in technology.
Although I can't recall which of his books I read, he expressed admiration for utilizing technology to help photographers achieve their goals.

Yes... read his autobiography to find out where he stood on that. Of course it was all theoretical in his lifetime.

"The thing that excites me is, that in not too many years we are going to have an entirely new medium of expression in the electronic image. So, I've seen what could happen to the print reproduced by the laser scanner and how that is enhanced and that is just the beginning. I've also seen some magnificent electronic images—direct electrical—not pictures of pictures and I know the potential is there and it's going to be wonderful."

He was by no means a traditionalist and embraced technological advances - as he also mentions in this piece when talking about his legacy:

He would have used an iPhone camera.

The series of images would have been titled, “Adams’ Apple”….

not sure what he would have done, I'm guessing he'd be kind of annoyed, humored and amazed. he'd probably love to see some sort of AI Chatbot rendering of himself too, what could be better ?

If he were alive today he'd be more than 120 years old - probably wouldn't be doing much of anything!

IF he was to start using digital cameras and photo shop, he would have been forced to retract every nasty thing thing he wrote about Mortensen

If Ansel Adams were alive today, and in his prime, would he embrace and use digital cameras...

The real question is: would he use Nikon or Canon?

That's funny I sometimes get that question when some know it all looks at my photos. And you should see the look on there face when I say "Deardorff". Maybe they think I'm addressing them with affection "dear dorf".

I think he would be very interested in the possibilities of a hybrid workflow.

You must have missed the caveat I put on my original most: "...and in his prime".
