not exactly true, that was the first color photograph that has withstood time and was semi permanent ... the first color photographs were made by Becquerel and like Niépces' work the images were not durable and faded. They were silver chloride prints, were ephemeral like lumen prints, solar graphs, heliographs, and retina prints ..
