The dimensions of the GG in my Sinar F1 (not F but probably the same) are 126mm x 100mm.

Ok, I asked this is my broken ground glass thread, but perhaps it is more appropriate here...

What are the dimensions for:

a) Sinar Norma 5x7 GG

b) Sinar Norma 5x4 GG

(I'm guessing that all Sinar GGs are the same, but it would be good to know for sure, as I am about to order two)

I missed your other post on this subject, sorry.

My 5x7 Norma has the fresnel on the rear side of the GG.

I had already measured my Norma GG's some time ago and kept the results in an Excel file in the event I ever need to know for replacement:

4x5: Length=127mm Width=101mm Thickness=1.6mm Corner cut=45-deg x 19mm Field outline=none Grid=10x10mm Crosshairs @ center

5x7: Length=179mm Width=129mm Thickness=1.9mm Corner cut=45-deg x 11mm
Field outline=120.9mm x 169.9mm Grid=15x15mm Crosshairs @ center

8x10: Length=253.5mm Width=209mm Thickness=2.6mm Corner cut=45-deg x 9mm
Field outline=193.5mm x 245.1mm Grid=20x20mm Crosshairs @ center

Thanks, Jerry - that's brilliant!

When you say "rear side of the GG", do you mean the fresnal is between the GG and lens?

Also, what are you using to measure the glass? 1.9mm is quite exact!

Fresnel is on the same side as your eyes, not between GG and lens.
I used digital calipers to measure.

Not really all that precise, as 0.1mm is only about 0.003937 inch.
