Hello,

I am about to go on a trip to Prague and Tallin, Estonia, and I was wondering if anyone knew of film purchasing and processing in these cities. I know Prague has foma nearby so not too concerned about availability there, but if anyone has recommendations that would be awesome. Tallinn, however, is a mystery! I am thinking of just bringing my Series B and a few bag mags, so 4x5 would be ideal.

While I would love to bring some boxes of chromes from the freezer, I don't want them to be put through a CT scanner somewhere along the way. I haven't seen empirical evidence that it affects reversal film (I have seen it firsthand with color negative), but don't want to risk it with prices these days.

Anyways let me know. Thank you! I am considering just bringing my X-Pro2 and saying screw it but I would MUCH rather use the Series B.

I don't recall seeing any, but when I did a search I found a camera store that rents cameras and lenses:

and one other camera store:

Not sure what you'll find, but macodirect.de could be the ticket.....they may be able to get the film to you. I dialed them in and they offer Ilford & Kodak....I was hoping to see Adox too (in 4x5). Granted, they appear to be near Hamburg....so the drive from Prague would be substantial. Anyway, I'd email them and see what are your options. No idea about developing labs. Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestions!!! I appreciate all of your input.

Right now My thoughts are doing some photos in Prague, having them processed there, and then when I get back to Prague from Tallinn I can pick up the negatives. Will this work smoothly? Probably not haha.

About ten years ago I got various film and paper supplies at BE Foto in Prague. They have a darkroom department and were helpful, ordering an unusual paper from Foma with a nextday delivery. It is a nice walk (or tram) from the touristy south side of the river, or a bit longer below Mala Strana and the Metronome from Sudek's studio/darkroom (https://www.atelierjosefasudka.cz/en/about-atelier) (to visit, ring the bell at the apartment-block to be allowed through to the courtyard where the studio is).

The shop website is https://www.befoto.cz/

There are a number of other photo-material stockists which I visited but I don't recall the names. Generally, film and paper is available without too much stress.
