Does anyone know the differences, if any, other than the aperture on Fuijon-C 600mm f/11.5 vs. f/12.5 lenses?

I have seen them for sale as f/11.5 and others as f12.5, and I would like to know the history behind this and if there are any actual differences that I would need to be aware of before purchasing.

Thank you,

Larry

It's likely just a shutter difference, I'll check that excellent Fuji resource link.

No, wrong !
http://www.subclub.org/fujinon/byfl.htm
They're only showing the 'C' at f/11.5 and the Tele 600 at f/12.
Maybe this isn't the full story though ?

I believe you are mistaken: The 450mm is f12.5 in a copal #1 and the 600 is f11.5 in a copal #3, but wrongly advertised as f12.5. Catlabs has one listed as such.

Yes, and you can see from the pictures that it's a f/11.5 lens like the others.

Hi Mark, yea, I don't think we know the full story yet. The link you shared doesn't work on my side?

I am seeing the f/11.5 and the f/12.5 versions in copal 3 shutters.

I am starting to wonder if one version is a telephoto version, possibly?

I am curious of where you see the 12.5? Is it a Sinar version? Link please.

Okay, I got to the bottom of the first issue. It appears that the seller had a typo, so that clears up the original question.

However, I seem to have learned there are telephoto and standard long lens versions of the Fujinon-C 600 f/11.5 lens.

Understanding if one lens is a standard long lens or telephoto makes a lot of difference, as noted on the LFP Lens Primer page at https://www.largeformatphotography.info/lenses-primer/

Now, I need to see if we can figure that part out.

There are not two versions of the Fujinon C 600mm. It is a LONG focal length lens f11.5 in a #3 shutter. The other 600mm if a Fujinon T f12 telephoto in a #1 shutter. See:

http://www.subclub.org/fujinon/byfl.htm

Let's not confuse things. Fuji made three 600mm lenses a Fujinon A, C, & T. Each is very different.

No. The C series stands for "compact" exclusively. They made 300mm, 450mm, and 600mm. I use the latter two. The 600 obviously has a long focal length, but physically, it's only 65mm long or thick.
