The Bellows are workable - somewhat repairable.

Those backs were 8X10 film or plate, they wore out and many were changed to 5X7 up to the 1950's and used a lot

Every small town had one for portrait studio

First you must make the bellows usuable, in studio you can also drape a Dark Cloth over the whole thing

Find a 5X7 back of allmost any kind and make a plywood adapter

I have one, not for sale, it is a divder, that makes 2X3 images on Large film, by sliding a hole around

It's big and heavy, made for studio

I have the same camera but it has been reconfigured to shoot 5x7 film with a split film back to get 2 frames on each 5x7 film. The film back was custom made from plywood and I wood like to replace the back with an original 8x10 back or at least finding someone with the original back so I could get some measurements to build one. It is one on the summer to do list.

As for the two holes you note, they are not present on the back by the brass knob so I would assume they were not part of the original camera. When you have the brass knobs and parts cleaned and polished the camera will take on a different look.

I was thinking of keeping the Patina on the Brass.
At least for now.
As for a film back, I’m not knowledgeable enough about where the film plane should be.
I don’t really even have a starting point.
The GG holder will take the 10x10 GG sold on the Bay.

I do seem to recall some available info on where the film plane should in relation to the GG, probably saw it here.
