Hi, I have Rodenstock Apo-Sironar N 1:5,6 / 300mm lens which I use on 8x10 camera, and am looking for a not very expensive, but decent quality filter set for b+w photography. This lens has 86mm thread and I am considering Cokin Z-Pro, however someone proposed a set of Panchromar filters recently, so I am thinking which one would be better for me. As far as I know Panchromar filters were made in eastern Germany DDR long time ago and they lack any coating, however they are made of quality glass. How does it compare to modern plastic Cokin which doesn’t have any coating either?
Btw. I wonder how my Apo Sironar N compares to Apo Sironar W or S? I am not talking about specs but the results. If we compared photographs taken with both, would any difference be visible?
