D-23 Developing times

Hi All !
Question to D-23 developer users.
At last got 100gr of Metol... Not so cheap at all ( 45 Euros shipped ) and impossible to find locally...
Will try it next week end, but I'd like to hear your thoughts about developing times before..
My principal LF films are Foma 100, 200 and 400. Tri-X and Ilford HP5 / FP4 from time to time.
Please, share your experience !

If you use times suitable for D76 (straight or 1:1 if you're diluted the D23) it will probably be just right, with slightly lower contrast.

The reason I am asking for the personal experience is that I found a bit different times in different sources...
Say, for Fomapan 100 Digitaltruth gives 11 min stock. Tuco, member of this forum, uses 10 min 1:1 (and I love his grays )
which is based on Digitaltruth D-76 1:1 data. For D-76 stock solution both Digitaltruth and Fomapan data sheet ask for 6 - 7 min.
I think I will start with Tuco time, but I'd like to hear more opinions before

Hi, Igor. For whatever it may be worth, with all the variables involved, I use HP5 and D23. In 4x5, I use either the SP445 tank or, for more sheets, a Jobo tank on a Cibachrome roller base -- which was made for prints and may be faster than typical film roller bases. My confirmed times for the SP tank are for 1:1. Normal development at EI 200 is 9.5 min; at 400 it's 11 3/4 min. Agitation is 15 seconds initially, then 10 seconds (4 full inversions) every minute thereafter. My enlarger uses a diffused light; if I were using condensers, my times would undoubtedly be shorter.
