I am looking at buying a Kodak Series VII filter ring for my Commercial Ektar 8.5 inch f/6.3 lens. Based on Kodak documentation I am aware I need the Series VII ring that is labelled as 1 1/3 inch (44.45mm) diameter.
However, I have come across examples of this particular ring on the auction site that come in one piece (looks like the piece that is pushed onto the front lens barrel) and two pieces (the aforementioned piece with an extra ring that looks like it is supposed to be screwed into the front of the adapter).
Is this second ring required to actually screw in filters? Also, does anyone know what the filter thread and pitch is that fits this particular Series VII ring? I am not interested in old Kodak filters and would like to pick one of these up in order to mount a modern filter, hence, need to first confirm what the diameter and thread pitch is.
Any informed info much appreciated as always.
