Original Kodak ReadyLoad release date

I have some Ektachrome 100 Plus in the original 2 sheet ReadyLoad packaging. I believe this was given to the original owner during the launch of the product. It’s labeled as demo and has no expiration date on the box or foil envelopes. The film has been frozen since it was originally acquired and some recent shots came out surprisingly nice. I’m curious how old this is.

Mid to late '80s, maybe a little earlier? - I used all the readyload films on assignment when they were first introduced - the 2 sheet readyloads were the 1st generation. I much preferred the single sheet options that followed.

I'd have thought mid-1990s, but we didn't use them much on the job. Someone go through their complete set of "View Camera" magazines and find the first ad!

Thanks all. I wish I had a full set of View Cameras to go through. I guess I'll be content with knowing it's likely around 30 years old. That makes me feel good about the viability of the more recent film I've thrown in the freezer.

Absolutely. Old E6 can be cross processed and then it dosen't matter how olde it is
