I just moved up from 4x5 to 8x10 by purchasing a Zone VI field camera. Unfortunately, the camera didn't come with a lens board, and I haven't been able to find a Zone VI lensboard anywhere. This may be a shot in the dark, but does anyone know what size lensboard will fit the camera? Assuming I'll not be able to locate a Zone VI lensboard, does anyone know what other brand may fit?

Thank you for your help.

Dan,

Try Richard Ritter at www.lg4mat.com.

Under the parts section, Richard lists Zone VI 8X10 boards for sale, they are 5 1/2 x 5 1/2.

Consider measuring the camera and making your own. Also check that the hole's center lines up with the axis of the front tilt when the camera is "in neutral".

SINAR boards will work on the Zone VI 8x10. calumet has new ones as well.

Thanks for the answers. I checked with Calumet, and they're out of stock for at least 60 days. According to customer service, "not too many people are shooting 4x5 and 8x10 anymore."

Dan,

The Horseman board fits the latest model of the Zone VI 8x10 camera perfectly. Also, if you need a lens board made for your camera and you don't want to use either the Sinar or Horseman lens boards, contact Richard T Ritter. He used to make the cameras for Zone VI.

Good luck!
