Restoring a sticky Toyo bag bellows

Herllo,
Does anyone know how to restore a sticky Toyo G bag bellows? There was a thread on the subject quite a few years ago, where acetone was used, but I would rather not go down that route. Are the bellows made from leather, and if so, would a leather restorer be the way forward?
It seems that there are a lot of sticky bellows out there, I wonder if anyone has had any success fixing them?

Leather cleaner and restorer would be a good place to start. Lexol is often recommended and I recently used it to clean and restore a Linhof Leather Bellows on a water damaged camera. So far so good, no stickiness

I have restored old, sticky Toyo bellows as you describe. As a Toyo user, I now suggest you buy a late-production set of the Toyo bag bellows for G2 cameras. The new material is far superior, and you will be able to use all recessed boards and adapters because of the larger internal frame dimensions.
