I recently aquired a Fujinon SW 1:8/90 . It did not come with any lens caps and I wanted to get some for both the front and back. Any ideas on what size is needed and where to obtain? I'd prefer to get a quality cap that would protect even if slight pressure was made on the center of the cap. I emailed an inquiry to skgrimes any other ideas?

Another thing is the lens came with a copal shutter but only stops down to f/45. After looking at the chart found at members.aol.com/subgallery/byfl.htm (http://members.aol.com/subgallery/byfl.htm) it appears that this lens originally came with a seiko shutter that stopped down to f/64. Is it safe to assume that somebody replaced it with the copal shutter? Does anyone know if this lens was multi coated or not? If it helps the serial number is 603019. Lastly I believe the filter size to be 67mm, is that correct?
Thanks.

Check B&H... they have several options for lens caps. Regarding size, the most effective way to determine the correct size for slip-on caps is to use a metric ruler and measure the outside of the front/back ring. Same for the filter size, except measure the inside of the front ring.

Only early versions came in a Seiko shutter, so unless you are sure that it is an early version, there is no evidence that someone changed shutters. Does the aperture scale on the shutter seem correct and original?

The first version was single coated and had lens name lettering on the bezel around the front lens element. Some or all of these were in Seiko shutters. The revised version is EBC multicoated, with the lens name lettering on the outside of the barrel. These are in Copal shutters.

Filter size is 67 mm. Front barrel diameter 70, rear 64 mm diameter on the older, 65 mm diameter on the newer.

If you decide to get a custom lenscap from S. K. Grimes, they will probably want the lens to fit the caps, so you won't have to worry about the exact size.

Here is a copy of a Fujinon spec sheet covering your lens:

Lens caps from SK Grimes are certainly a good option, if a bit pricey. B&H stocks Nikon, Schneider and Kaiser lens caps. The Schneider is a good cap albeit pricey; the Nikon is a good cap but alas is apparently not available in your size; and Kerry Thalmann in the past has recommended against the Kaiser, see this thread:
