Using Speed Graphic / Graflex shutter on its side

Wondering if using one of these focal plane shutters sideways will show as a difference? Going to test it but your experienced answers might save a few sheets of film in my first go round.

Only one problem you might encounter. The momentum of the shutter, when traveling horizontally, may show some camera shake. Normally not a problem when tripod mounted in the landscape orientation. Use a sturdy support. Pressing straght down, hard, on the camera when tripping the shutter may help if you have a problem. If using it hand held, only the negatives will tell. Hey Frank,

My camera tech mentioned to me that (this is from memory) the slowest speed is accomplished with the camera held upside down. If you're really interested, I'll get his name and number and post it. He's a very esoteric guy, and very talented. He re-conditioned my dad's 1938 2 1/4x 3 1/4 speed graphic and a 1937 Leica 3A I have. Not cheap, but very good.
