I have a lovely Linhof TECHNIKA III version 5 that uses the old style boards (bottom edges not mitred). Does any member know if there is a conversion adapter to the new style Linhof boards with mitred bottom edges? Any information gratefully received.

I am assuming that the mitered edge is allowing light into the camera. You can A) modify the camera with thin material behind the front standard B) Buy the dedicated un-mitered boards for your lenses (ebay BitByBitPhoto has them) if they work with your other cameras, or C) Make your own adapter: Take an appropriately sized board with large hole + glue a thin spacer opaque ring smaller in width/height than the technica board + slightly larger lensboard adapter to hold the current board- Lensboard sandwich. Option C will likely require new focus points/cams if the camera has them.

The older Linhof boards are larger than the new ones and the new ones are too small to be firmly attached to the camera and will probably not be light tight. A machinist friend has offered to make an adapter so will see how this works out.
