graflex speed graphic 4x5 serial number 299799

I recently bought a Graflex Speed Graphic 4X5 Camera, serial number 299799. I would like to find out
when it was made, etc. I used one similar in the Army, in 1955. This camera has the focal plane shutter,
and seems to be in excellent condition. I don't think it was opened in a number of years.

Check the serial number again. 299799 is in a block of serial numbers, 299342 - 300841 of 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 Speed Graphics issued 8/26/1941. The next block of 3x4 Speed Graphic s/ns was issued 11/24/1941.
