Photoshop Express used to be a free iPhone app. Then they killed it and took it away. Now they want us back, taunting us with a “free” 14 day trial?? No, I don’t think so. Middle finger to you, Adobe.

With the money I spend on film, chemicals, paper, cameras, lenses, and other gear, I consider the suite of Lightroom, Photoshop, Bridge, and Lightroom Mobile to be the one of best deals in my photo universe. Printer inks are another matter. Don't get me started.

im still using an old version of photoshop, photo elements and lightroom before they went online. All programs still owrk just fine... so whats new that you really need in newer versions? NOTHING! Besides... I own it, dont need to go online, and dont have to share anything with anyone.

pull out your old CDs... Ill bet you still have it in your box.

I gladly pay the yearly fee for "renting" the suite of Lightroom, Photoshop, and Bridge. One for myself and one for my son. In the scheme of my yearly expenditures on photography, it is miniscule. I use Photoshop every day for at least four hours. Bridge less, and lately Lightroom only a fraction of the time when I used it for my commercially business. My son, on the other hand, uses Lightroom 98% of the time. It makes a great yearly gift to my son. One of my old iMacs has an older version of Photoshop on it... from a time when you actually purchased the application on a CD!!! (remember record stores, 8-track tapes, ZIP drives, Polaroid, VHS tapes, etc) Comparing it to the current version that I "rent", the current and always updated version is 100% better and (in my opinion) runs many times faster (especially the Bridge app).
