I just learned from his son Michael, that Dick Garrod recently passed away. There are members of this forum familiar with Dick's work and passion for fine art black and white photography. He would have been 98 on June 10.
I had the pleasure of knowing Dick for over fifty years when he was living in Monterey, California. Those unfamiliar with his work will find samples scattered about the Internet, as well as within the two books that he published: Visual Prayers & Visual Metaphors. He taught workshops for many years, including Ansel's in Yosemite.
I'll miss him, the conversations and his kindness.
