I wonder if the metal frame that goes to the rear standard and to which a groud glass is attached is #001616 "revolving frame" : https://linhof.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/2022_Linhof_preise_d_e-03-01.pdf ?

Mounted to the camera:

Graund glass attched:

That is not a revolving back. It will not fit on a Technika.

Revolving frame, not back. Pictured is Kardan re, not Technika.

001615 would be this part: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/31258-REG/Linhof_001615_4x5_Groundglass_Frame_with.html

I would like to know the part pictured left to it (in my original post).

001630 for a Kardan, 001616 for Technika.

Thanks Bob. I would like to get additional one so that I can keep the Super Rollex permanently attached to it.

You can leave the roll back on it. That has nothing to do with that folding frame on the front standard.

I prefer to have the Super Rollex permanently attached to one of the backs. The other back with the ground glass attached sits on the camera for composing. It's much faster to switch the backs than to remove the ground glass frame from the back and attach the Supper Rollex instead.

Unless you want to focus on the gg.

I'm note sure I follow. I focus on the GG, however the GG has to be removed before the roll back is attached to the back (001630). What I prefer is after the cocusing/composing part is done to remove the whole back (including the GG) and replace it with the one having already the roll back attached to it - much faster procedure.

Thats pretty much how the 6x9 Linhofs work. Rather than having a "graflok" setup, you remove the entire back to attach the roll back. I expect the potential issue for 4x5 cameras are whether the postion of the GG is consistant from one back to the next.

1. The back in the original post is a lo-end kardan type and lacks the circular plate that the rotating backs have. You can get an adapter so the camera can accept the rotating type backs, but there is no adapter so the kardan back can fit a technika.

2. The best tool to accomplish the goal you have of easily using a 120 back is the Rapid Change Adapter.
