Pre-Exposure Fun!

I decided to revisit an old technique, used to reduce the contrast of a scene on film. In this case, black and white film. I will compare the pre-exposed results with one that received no pre-exposure. Is it still a viable option? Is there a limit? 4x5 FP4-Plus film was used for the test.

There's those what sez it don't work with negatives, only Polaroids; that yer jess printin' through fog and it's all a wash. Not my view, tho the feller I read it from ain't no slouch in technique or art-wise.

Limits? Well, I s'pose it's whacher lookin' to git.
