Voigtländer Collinear III f7.7 #6 coverage

Hi,
with a camera I got a Voigtländer Collinear III f7.7 #6 (serial #49836). But I couldn't figure out the focal length (measured something around 33cm) and the coverage.
The camera was a 24cm x 30cm format.
Do you have some more detailed information about this lens?

The Voigtländer Collinear III f7.7 #6 has a focal length of 12" (30cm).
I'm wondering that this lens was used by a 24cm x 30cm camera while the catalogue tells that this lens covers 8x10" format.
Is the mentioned format in the catalogue for max. aperture/wide open?
