Here's a presentation Alan, Addam's former assistant and the person who continues to make the Special Edition prints from his negatives, gave in the past several days. Much will be familiar to those who have read Adams's books and books on him, and perhaps seen some videos, but there are some personal images and recollections that make this a special hour.

That was such a great presentation!

Thanks for posting that. I missed it and didn't know if it would be on-line as a recording. Is there a way to still make a donation?

Brian, I can't imagine that a donation would be rejected. Give 'em a call.

Previously mentioned, Ansel did Portraits, Commercial AD images and much more beyond Landscape images which AA was best publicly known for.
Add to this the Photography education book series, work shops and much more.
IMO, too many only know Ansel for the Yosemite and other landscape images, yet there was SO much more to Ansel which is often not recognized or known about.
Alan Ross does a fine presentation on these other aspects of Ansel Adams.

Thanks for the link. Most of what Ross presented was previously disseminated in the many Adams autobiography/biographies as well as other pieces documenting his life and technical information, including technique and image books, most notable of the latter being "Examples." However, I did learn two new things.
First, his and Virginia's daughter Anne Adams Mayhew Helms died two months ago. Second, one of Anne's daughters, Virginia Mayhew, is the jazz saxophonist I've heard recordings of for years, but never knew was related to Adams.
