View Full Version : Bi-Post to PC on Ilex Shutter

Since Paramount went out of business, it's become exceedingly difficult to find a simple Bi-post/PC adapter.
I just got a lens in an Ilex #5 shutter, and I'll eventually need to sync it with my flashes (Godox).

I was wondering about shutter surgery: can the bi-post be removed and replaced with the PC mount?
Talking about a skilled technician, not me.

Or does anyone know where I can still buy the adapter?

Thanks

Get an electric shaver cord or an electronic cheater cord from any electronics store. Cut off the biopst plug end. Buy this Kaiser cord, https://www.kaiser-fototechnik.de/en/produkte/artikel.php?nr=1420, cut off the PC end. Wire the 2 together and you now have your own adapter.

I did it and it works!
