Hello all- I have a Takihara Hope in need of a new bellows. I received it without a bellow so I need to establish the specifications to narrow down my search. My question is as it is outwardly similar to a Wista 45DX, is it possible to use a Wista bellows for replacement? The front standard on the Takihara is 4 3/8” glued on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

xkaes, the link didn't work for me. The subclub site has been unavailable (to my browsers) for quite a while now. You can connect with this URL?

Here is the direct link to his (?) EBAY STORE:

I haven't check in a long time, but he used to have lots of replacement bellows.

P.S. Some people using CHROME have reported problems. Most people don't have any problem using FIREFOX, OPERA, and other browsers.

Is it possible for a 4x5 Wista owner out there to measure the front and rear bellows dimensions of their camera, I think that would be a good starting point for finding a compatible. Thanks again.

Most of the aftermarket bellows suppliers provide the bellows only, without the frames. If your camera doesn't have bellows frames, then you can measure the surface area where the bellows would be glued to on the front and rear standards. The dimensions of the camera openings will be the minimum size of the inside folds of the bellows, and the outside dimensions of the bellows will be constrained by the surface area they can be glued to. The length can be measured by camera extension. If you provide those dimensions to the bellows supplier they can probably sort out something that will work

ecbuyonline2008 has some ready made bellows for various cameras, and they can also make custom bellows.

Camera Bellows in the U.K. is another popular bellows maker.

That’s to all! I took Sharktooth’s advice and ordered the Wista version via eBay. They were kind enough to supply all of the dimensions and it appears to be a close match. I’ll report back when I get it sorted. Happy Holiday’s to all!
