So I have come to conclusion that there is a gap between what I am seeing on the ground glass vs whats coming on negative. After wasting about 10 sheets of film at f5.6 150mm I have arrived at this conclusion. So frustrating has anyone had similar issues? Whats the fix?

I still cant get it to close no matter what I do: https://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/showthread.php?162756-Toyo-45A-wont-close

I presume the camera is out of warranty or you would have sent it back already. You can check the 'wasted' negatives to see if the ground glass is too far forward or behind the film plane. Then adjust the ground glass position as needed and test again. You should be able to zero in by trial and error.

I can almost put a number on how much 'off' it is.

I didnt know you could adjust ground glass like that!

Shims can be removed or added. Ground glass can be in stalled wrong. Fresnels can be incorrect or incorrectly located. See what is in there.
View cameras like the Graphic View are nice because the service manual is available on line.
