There are 4 Wray lenses listed in Vademecum that employ soft focus qualities:

Wray Diffused Image Objective
Wray Portrait Lens
Wray Soft focus f/2.5
Wray Soft focus f/5

Does somebody know any other references than this?

I have searched the interwebs extensively and so far nothing.

Isn't there a Wollensak connection?

Thanks for the link. I have a 'Royal' Velostigmat II soft focus in brass with studio shutter that I assumed was an early Wolly version, but I just learned it was probably made by the Rochester Lens Co before Wolly bought them in 1905.
