Can you help me find this photographer?

Many years ago I seemed to remember a U.K photographer/artist whose original book was very much about grim domestic life, possibly in one of the council flats of the U.K. It seemed to feature shots of his Dad and possibly his family. Very raw and gritty.

Then I remember his second book was a complete departure and was of large format landscapes around the U.K but for the life of me, I cannot remember his name..

Does it ring any bells for anybody out there? Long shot I know.....
