Hi All,

Have a shutter with a C.P. Goerz Berlin Dopp - Anastigmat Serie iii Dagor 120mm f/6.8, hoping the lens is good but my question is really around the Ernemann shutter and if anyone can id the model maybe the age? The shutter is about 60mm or 2 & 3/8" in diameter. I couldn't find anything definitive outside a picture or two that was only similar in design.

Any thoughts on the lens good/bad/mediocre?

Thanks
-Sean

According to P-H Pont's Goerz chronology, the lens was made between 1908 (s/n 200000) and 1915 (300000). He says nothing about Ernemann shutters.

Here you find a nice site (in Spanish) about Ernemann shutters. Yours is said to be from about 1909 - which seems correct since also shutters from other German make were until about 1912 in unpainted aluminium; later on black became the fashion...:
