I recently started a new job and now have an IQSmart 3 scanner. Unfortunately, there is no instruction manual, no software and no assistance :o.

I am based in Cape Town, South Africa. Is there anyone that can guide me on how to get started? Where to get or download software etc?

+1 for contacting Michael Streeter. I got my IQsmart from him and he's extremely helpful. IIRC he has a stock of Mac Min's and software.
