I've been compiling a list of the part numbers of the aperture bands of Rodenstock large-format lenses in Copal shutters. There's no reason, really, it was just something I started doing out of curiosity. I've managed to put together a pretty complete list for the newer lenses but am missing a few and wondering if anyone out there can help me out. The numbers appear in small type in a corner of the aperture bands, and have the form

0011.0xx for the (APO) and Makro Sironar family lenses, and

0005.0xx for the Grandagon family lenses.

For now I'm not concerned with the much older "plain" Sironar (no APO, N, or S designation), the Apo Ronars, digital lenses, or lenses supplied in Compur or Prontor shutters.

Here are the lenses for which I'm missing numbers:

APO-Sironar-N 480mm f/8.4

APO-Sironar-S 100mm, 360mm

APO-Sironar-W 150mm and 210mm (these were originally sold marked simply "Apo Sironar")

Makro-Sironar-N 210mm

Grandagon-N 155mm and 200mm

The completionist/collector in me will be most grateful to anyone who can help me fill out my list. I'm happy to send you a copy of my little spreadsheet if you'll send me your email address. The easiest way to request this is by sending me an email rather than a PM - your email address will be in the "from" field and you won't have to type it, giving you more time for your photography.

Noted, thank you, and thanks to those others who've helped me in my lunacy. It has been pointed out to me that Schneider called them "Makro" while Rodenstock used "Macro". Unfortunately that came too late for me to go back and make the correction.

I'm still looking for info on the 200mm Grandagon in Copal 3, it's the last empty spot on my list.

My Apo-Sironar 150/5.6 is marked the same as the yellow band above. However, there is no yellow band, no W, no "80deg", and the f/numbers go all the way to f/64. It is a very early model.

Got it. Still looking for the Grandagon-N 200mm. That's the only one I don't have.
