I used chromium intensifier to increase contrast on a negative but went too far..... is there anyway to reduce the contrast?

Just curious about this... this chromium intensifier is a bleach/redevelop process, right? So is it not possible to bleach it back with a rehal bleach again, redevelop to a lower contrast, then fix?

I am not sure hence my question, but will pick a rubbish negative and experiment
