In flagrante was the first of his works to be published, if memory serves me. Shot on 5x4, it is a superb record of working class life in the north of England in the 1970s. RIP.

I first encountered Chris Killip's work on the walls of a cafe in Tynwald, Isle Of Man. I was blown away by these large prints of rural life on the island, and led to purchase his books. A remarkable talent.
