I can't afford to buy anything. To me it is just a nice online show to look at. One of my favs is O. Winston Link's famous drive in photo with train. Great mix of the classics with lots of LF stuff there. I like Swann because they offer some decent res photos to look at. Also like the carbro print of the sandwiches.

Well if those were on display at a museum I would certainly make the trip. Of course it was sadly lacking any Vivian Maier photos, so not really that serious a collection... :p

Thanks for posting that link. It was great to have high quality web images to browse.

Had to bug out on NYC when corrosive virus hit back in March. I'm old and bad lungs. Can't go back even if I wanted to to with quarantine from my state. I gotta make due with online shows / piecemeal.

I wrote to them and asked if they would scan it @ 800 dpi for me for $400. No reply.

I have lots of albumen and collotypes from Japan. About 50% are in the digital Archive. Can't afford to buy everything I see. So people sometimes sell scans and I can acquire much cheaper. And sometimes they wont sell scans.

Can't put bulk Japanese scans up here. They don't like when I link to my projects. Even though it is all free.

Here is an example...

Nice story...thanks!

Impressive gal with her yoga and all. I'm fat and can hardly get off the ground.

This auction makes me miss the annual AIPAD show in NYC which made many of the same images accessible (and purchasable if you had the funds) to the public. Unfortunately that is gone until Covid is much better controlled. And it would be nice if $3250 or so was just pocket change, because William Clift is one of my favorite photographers, and a nice print of his sold for that (IIRC) in the auction.
