Seller on eBay is selling precut old Aero rollfilm. Has anyone tried it? Would like to try it in a Patterson or a Yankee daylight processing tank with R9 1:100 stand processing. Film is half the thickness of normal sheet film, and not near as stiff. Any workarounds?

Aerial roll film frequently required special chemistries not used for amateur or professional roll and sheet films.
Research before buying!

Mr. Salomon is correct, assuming that you expect to be flying aerial missions with the film. B/W aerial films tend to be higher contrast than regular camera films, and the recommended processing methods are meant to deliver high contrast as well; the low-contrast nature of the world seen from high above requires this.
But it's not necessarily impractical to use aerial films for conventional ground-based photography.
You will just have to do some testing to find exposure indices and processing methods that work for the pictures you want to make. Note as well that aerial film speed (EAFS) is not the same as the ISO number found on a box of conventional film...

Jim Galli does a lot of this. You might check with him.

I shoot some of aerofilm in smaller formats. There are workarounds its contrast, the key is not to expect it to produce stated film speed for photo applications. For example agfa aviphot 400 will produce normal contrast at about 50 iso. Also aero film is rather thin, which is a pain in the back for 120, and I cannot even imagine troubles with sheets.
