Hey everyone,

I recently found a fairly old Spencer Model D Delineascope (slide projector) at a university surplus sale for $30.

Other than perhaps the capability of projecting medium format slides (not very practical, you can easily fry an egg on the metal housing when the bulb is on), the main thing enticing me to get it was the big, beautiful, 12” lens. My plan is to yank it off of the projector and put it on a camera.

Other than the focal length, there are no markings on the lens that would give away any information about it. Fortunately, it seems that every ‘scope of this mode has the same exact lens, unfortunately, I can’t find any details on it anywhere.

Adding some pictures below (plus one of the full projector because because it’s a beautiful machine). If anyone has any information that can point me in the right direction to identify the lens, I’d be extremely thankful.
