I’m trying to make my first bromoils. I struggle with 2 papers: Fomabrom III 112 and Ilford Art 300. So far both can give very thin matrix. Any other recommendations for present papers? I know David Lewis but I’m in Europe so the shipping costs are crazy high. The other problem is the brushes … mine are losing hair…
Could someone experienced give me some suggestions...
thanks

Another option is using photographic emulsion, like the Foma one, on watercolour paper. Emil Schildt on here has done a good bit of work with bromoils, and may have used that combination, not totally sure.

I strongly agree to look into Emil's techniques with liquid emulsion. Better yet, get one of his books. He is a master at this. Liquid emulsion and sponges are so much easier than brushes and traditional photo paper.
