Zone system chart

Hello,

Last night, I was searching the Internet for a zone system cheat sheet that I could print out and tape to the back of my light meter. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find a decent one, so I've created my own. I thought I'd share it here, in case anyone is interested. Here is a 2 x 3 inch image that you can print out.

I tried to make the zone colors as accurate as possible - but of course, they are far from perfect.

When I was teaching the Zone System I came up with a little mnemonic device to help make the right lens (or shutter) adjustments when placing a spot-metered part of a scene on something other that Zone V. To move the Zone placement up or down just remember: "To move it up, open up. To move it down, stop down." njb
