Hi
I have wollensak velostigmat 6 3/8" f4.5 series II. It came with camera.
But there is only one (front) element. Is it a lens design, or something is missing?
Thank you for information.
Peter

I believe its a tessar design and there should be a group aft of the shutter.

No photographic lens has ever been made with glass only in the front. If there is no rear cell, it's missing.

Ole, Novoflex and Kilfitt and Century Precision Optics all made long focus lenses that were nothing more than a doublet achromat at the front of a long tube that incorporated a focusing mechanism. I'm sure there were others. But those lenses weren't badged Velostigmat.

Cheers,

Dan

If the shutter seems nice and you want to complete the lens, I may have one in a barrel that should have the missing rear group. Very cheap if you want it.

Ole, I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest you have never seen a single element protar.

Jim

I sent a question to the seller, and I'm waiting.

How much it will cost your lens incl. shipping : Calgary, Canada?
