Hi there!
I've recently jumped into large format with no prior photography experience. My girlfriend is a photographer who has to take a large format course, and while helping her I fell in love with the entire concept of Large format.
I purchased a 4x5 camera in September for my girlfriend and since I have purchased another for myself and an 8x10 for myself.
With learning everything about large format photography, it's been such a journey with venturing into the darkroom, developing film, making contact prints and this forum has been such a huge help!

Welcome, and we're eager to see your first images – I hope a scanner is also in your future!

Yes! I have been working on that. I'm trying to find a used Epson V700, 750, 800, or 850 for a good price right now.

Welcome, from the best coast ;)
My wife also got me into photography, although I'm sure she regrets it now that our house is filled with cameras. One for you, two for me.

Been there once, for a long weekend, 1982
The locals surprised me with their honesty
They never jaywalk or cross an empty street corner unless the stoplight is green
Smokers do not toss butts anywhere
Bars close too early to visit
Being young and from Chicago I did cross on red and locals were visibly distressed
I did not litter
nor go to any bar
