This seems to be a popular beginner's camera so I thought I'd post some illustrations on how to assemble it for future reference. I generally start by attaching the bellows first to reduce the risk of unlocking and dropping a lens or ground glass on the floor. Eight photos in two posts.

Second set of photos. Main thing is to pay attention to the lock position on the standards. Depress the silver button and slide either to the left or right to unlock bellows or ground glass, or lens board. Make sure the slide is in center position when camera is in use or you risk the lens board falling out and damaging lens (or ground glass.) Thanks to my assistant, Annie the Cat.

Some Horseman 8X10 use the Cambo system, but only on the back. the front is Horseman

I gaff tape the dern slide

Very good design, but...

and far better than the 8X10 Toyo back Horseman used before the Cambo...

Cambo 45NII owner here, I had to buy my cat separately, is the cat a standard feature on the 45NX?

Annie seems to be "standard" in every camera photo I take. She has to make sure everything is all right and mouse free.

What a nice kitty you have Kent!
My two, Jesse (the ninja) and Joey (the tripod) are not such good assistants as Annie.
I like the last photo of Annie's paws; pretty cool looking.

Kind regards,
Darr
