While George Hurrell became quite famous for his work, Clarence Sinclair Bull was another great hollywood Photographer. He is lesser known, yet his work and images are another example of the PR images needed to create a public identity for Hollywood stars from that era:

For those that want to learn more and are interested in this style of Portraiture, this book, "The Art of the Great Hollywood Portrait Photographers" by John Kobal.

Thanks Bernice for the link.
I have had the book for 20+ years in my library and used it in the classroom.
Kind regards,

I will add, Marnie and I watched many old movies together
I still watch old B&W
Just got a copy of 'Hell Angels', by Howard Hughes
Any information from these on where we would see original carbon prints? Maybe even three color carbon prints?

Some museum show old prints on occasion and not forever, as light damages them.
I just ordered a download from Getty on the link I gave you. Madge Evans
I may have it in 24 hours
I can then study it on my good monitor or my fancy TV
I am a member of the Art Institute of Chicago and they show old prints all the time, some under a black curtain, we need to push away and view the old print.
However I am now far from ARTIC (https://www.artic.edu/), you may be closer.

The Getty just delivered a download, 1000 X 754 at 72 pix, which is good enough to look at and expand in PS to look at detail.
They also sent a warning!
