That E100 will be available in 4x5 along with the 120 rolls coming. I was also told no 8x10 for now. Hopefully that will follow soon, but still good news. This is part of the info packet sent out to announce the price hikes coming.

35mm is a fine format for many things, but E100 just screams to be in larger formats. I personally have totally fallen in love with the way it renders colors. Dust off your APO Sironar S's and Super Angulons!

I hope the 120 and 4x5 news is true. As far as the 8x10, may be Canham Cameras can do special orders (http://www.canhamcameras.com/kodakfilm.html)?

Also noteworthy, the FAQ document confirms that they plan to relaunch Kodak E-6 chemistry.

Great! Now I'll just have to find something to shoot with it.

Been carrying around a roll of E100 in 35mm for over a year without exposing it. Just haven't seen anything that I wanted to use it for...

Sounds like my 80/2.8 Xenotar AFD has finally met it's match. I'm stoked about 120. I don't have much of a 4x5 kit outside of a Graflex and a Rollei 150/2,8 projection lens (not sharp). Maybe I'll have to track down another Chamonix at some point. I sorta skipped 45 and went straight to 8x10.

I shot 2 rolls of the new Ektachrome, just to do my part in trying to help Kodak stay alive. Hate to say it, but my digital is the primary color shooter now. After spending $12/roll, then $18 to get it developed, mounted, and scanned, mailing it out....waiting...paying...blah - it's a pain to shoot any color. But Velvia is so much more vibrant, I'll probably use it if I want slides.

I'm shooting a roll of it right now, including a number of very carefully done color chart tests under different light and filtration conditions. The whole point is to understand its potential before sheet film arrives, and in what specific respects it might or might not differ from the previous E100G. As for "little birds", quite a few of them get eaten by cats, especially when Kodak news releases are involved. But eventually, a bird from the remaining flock might arrive with an actual box of sheet film in its beak. Digital color just doesn't cut it for me. But regardless, I already have stacks of 4x5 and 8x10 chrome images to choose from, and if considered worthy, I make printing internegs.
Going forward, that has to compete for my limited time and funds with direct color neg printing, plus black and white. So, I'm in no panic for a new sheet product, but will welcome it if and when it arrives.

Wait, are you saying the film is optimized for birds or general wildlife photography?

You're the one from Arizony. Thought you was the folks who distinguishes "critters" versus "varmits". My cats call both of em "calories".

Mine call them "toys."

New 4X5 slide film is no toy :) Glad to see an additional entrant to some slim pickings.
