Dear all.

I just won a Technika Super-Angulon 165 F8 on Ebay which is http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7563944690&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

I thought it is multi-coated lense, But I found that there are 2 type of lense which is MC and SC.

which one is it? and If it is a SC, Is there big diffrents between MC & SC? and is the price resonable?

sorry for too much questions, becasue of I am a really newbie in LF world

Thanks

David,

The one you bought is single coated, but it is a fairly late (early 1970s) single coated sample in a Copal No. 3 shutter. If it was multicoated it would be labeled "Multicoating" around the front barrel. Coverage is the same regardless of coating. If there is any performance difference the multicoated version might be a tiny bit contrastrier and slightly more immune to flare. $531 seems like a pretty good price for single coated Linhof select sample in a Copal No. 3 shutter. The newer multicoated versions ususally sell for quite a bit more.
