I have been looking at some vintage barrel lenses with big apetures and I found a Hektor 150mm F2.5 projection lens and I was wondering if this would work on my 4x5 camera?

I have a Sinar Copal Shutter, so the lack of shutter is no issue and I also have an adjustable Iris lens board, so that is covered too.

I just need to know if it will focus at the 150mm and have enough coverage for 4x5?

Thanks for your help.

I have not used this lens but according to the image examples found I would say that it will work fine for closer distances on 4x5. Try to use image search with the lens name and see what you find.

I know that a Colorplan (kb projection lens) is made for max. 4x4 cm Slides. So I doubt covering 4x5" is possible with your Hektor.

I have several old projection lenses which i use on5x7 and 8x10 regularly. It just takes a little knowledge and a lot of practice.
