Technika III

Does anyone know how to adjust the track extension locking lever on a 5 x 7 Technika III? It moves but does not lock. Also, is there anyone that knows how much of a notch needs to be cut into the upper track to lock the front standard. The one that is cut in my camera is only about 1/32" and seems too small.
