After shooting 200 or so images to learn how to use the camera a 4x5 I am starting testing on Tmax100 and Tmax developer. What I have noticed do far is that thinner negatives work better than dense ones. I also noticed that sharpness is affected by the density of the negative. If over developed or over exposed, the image is not nearly as sharp otherwise.

My question is what have those who scan have found as a typical density for a negative to scan well? How is it different for one you intend to print in a dark room?

I have scanning down good, have eliminated almost all dust from scanning so I want to concentrate on making good negatives for scanning. I will develop my test shots this week.
