I love my 1980's vintage Calumet dark cloth, but would like to find another similar. Most I find on Ebay are the velcro types or very lightweight. I am not against the velcro types, but it should be substantial and not crap! Any favorites out there? Thanks!

I'm a big fan of the Wanderer dark cloths. Hand made, weight-y but breathable and available in several sizes and styles. They're a little pricey but worth it.

Blackjacket Hybrid.

I have one, love it... I want to build some kind of lightweight aluminum frame for the inside. There are times with wind where I'm constantly trying to pull the inside off my face!

I just looked at the wanderer photo site. No info on how they attach or materials they are made of. I sent an email for more info, but no response so far.

The Wanderer cloths use adjustable elastic on one end. They’ll add snaps on request for an additional fee but I don’t find it necessary.
