Anybody have any experience with the Goerz 12" F11 process lens on 8x10? I have access to one, but I don't know if its worth going through the hassle of getting it. I would like to see if anyone has any experience on here with one.

It's almost certainly a OEM-badged Artar, thus a very high-quality lens both close-up and at distance. It won't have a regular camera shutter, and it may be in a physically bigger mount than you would like, but it's certainly worth a try.

Slightly off topic, i keep wanting to read the title as Gargoyle experience. If you can get the lens for reasonable cost and hassle (to you), get it. You never know what you’ll find.

Here is a photo of the lens. I am going to mount it and take a look tomorrow when I get a chance.

Hmmm. It probably won't cover 8x10 at infinity, but give it a try. It should do very well for tabletop work, at least.
